Shaun and I met on a River boat shuffle on the Thames in June, 1967,run by Homefield - the then Parish club of Ealing Abbey. He was running it and was late so the boat had to return for him, as he was holding the money for the jazz band. I was with my brother George and his wife Mary, who had only just returned from their honeymoon. As soon as I saw Shaun I said to Mary. 'I'm going to marry that man'. She approached Margaret Curnow who introduced us to Shaun. The rest is history! It was love at first sight but took a long time to convince Shaun to leave his home and his Mum's cooking! We got engaged in May 1970 and were married in May 1971 by Father Gregory Chillman at Ealing Abbey. I was very blessed to have had such a good and faithful husband and he will always be part of me.
